Resman Gas Tracer Technology Successfully Deployed for Hess Exploration and Production Malaysia b.v.

Kuala Lumpur, February 2021: Following an award from Hess Exploration and Production Malaysia B.V., as operator of the North Malay Basin Integrated Gas Development project offshore Peninsular Malaysia, received via Petrotechnical Inspection (M) Sdn Bhd, RESMAN successfully designed and safely implemented first in the world Gas Tracer technology in the Bunga Anggerik and Bunga Zetung Fields.

Hess holds a 50% working interest and is the operator of the blocks while PETRONAS Carigali Sdn. Bhd., Hess’ partner owns the remaining 50%.
“Resman has enjoyed a very good collaboration with Hess in Malaysia and worldwide for a number of years and this award confirms our position as a trusted partner,” says VP FEA, Steve Koumouris.
The contract, awarded to Petrotechnical Inspection Malaysia Sdn Bhd (SGS Malaysia), resulted in Resman and SGS collaborating throughout the project, SGS providing in country sampling and related services and Resman undertaking design, technical oversight, tracer evaluation and reporting.
Hess Exploration and Production Malaysia B.V. and Resman received recognition from PETRONAS MPM, for focused execution and shared success, which resulted in cost savings in the project.
Resman was established in 2005 and since then has rapidly evolved its innovative tracer and data analysis technology to provide a long term, reliable, risk-free and cost-efficient alternative for reservoir monitoring.
Resman has offices in Norway, UAE, UK, USA, Malaysia and Russia.

About RESMAN

Resman was formed in 2005 and since its inception the company has installed thousands of its proprietary Intelligent Tracer systems in hundreds of wells for more than 60 oil and gas operators worldwide. In 2018, Resman acquired Restrack, a tracer service provider, in a share purchase agreement. Since then the combination of Resman’s reservoir monitoring and intelligent chemical tracer systems and Restrack’s full portfolio of integrated tracer services, including inter-well gas & water tracing, single well tracer tests (SWCTT) and partitioning inter-well tracer tests (PITT), delivers even more detailed information to operators on their reservoirs and wells for improved well production and production optimization. By using proprietary inflow quantification models developed in-house and verified by third party flow loop testing, Resman can accurately quantify zonal inflow contribution and detect the location of water breakthrough in complex and challenging completion environments. Resman is committed to helping its customers gain valuable data about their reservoirs, ultimately improving the effectiveness of their reservoir management decisions. Resman’s technology provides a low cost and low risk solution to gain long-term insight into what is flowing where, how much, in what well and in which zone of the well, which is highly valuable input for oil companies in their quest to increase oil recovery. Resman continuously evolving its innovative tracer and data analysis technology to provide a long term, reliable, risk-free and cost-efficient alternative for reservoir monitoring.
